8-WEEK CHALLENGE

Starting May 10th, the Building Healthy Habits 8-Week Challenge focuses on building healthy habits through incentivizing daily physical activity, water intake, and other healthy daily practices. The overall goal of the challenge is to help participants build healthy habits that will help them achieve and maintain their health and fitness goals over time.

WHAT YOU GET

*Participation Packet including nutrition resources, home and gym workouts,

and other helpful hints and tips on how to get the points to win the challenge.


HOW YOU WIN

The participant with the most points at the end of the 8 weeks wins! There are 5 categories that participants will obtain points from. There will also be additional weekly incentives and prizes where participants can accumulate additional points.


Each participant earns points in five categories:

1. Daily Water Intake Minimum based on participant’s weight. 

2. Daily Steps Minimum based on participant’s age. 

3. Weekly Classes or Personal Training Sessions completed with a maximum of 3 points per week.

4. Additionally, each participant will receive one point for every 1.0% of total body weight lost.

5. And one point for every 1 inch lost from their total measurements taken on the first day and last day of the challenge.

WHAT IS REQUIRED OF PARTICIPANTS

1. To start the challenge, participants will need to weigh in and get their measurements taken on or before the week of May 10th.

2. Participants will need to download the MyFitnessPal or LoseIt! app and add username AfterburnFitnessClub as a friend. This is how daily water intake and steps will be monitored.

3. Participants MUST log water intake and steps using MyFitnessPal or LoseIt! app so your trainer, Emily, can monitor your progress and so you can earn points!

4. To end the challenge, participants will need to weigh in and get their measurements taken on or before the end date, July 1st.



The Challenge begins May 10th, 2021 and ends July 1st, 2021.

An Informational Meeting will take place on May 10th at 6pm. Participants will receive a Challenge Info Packet and will be an opportunity for questions. Before or on May 10th, each participants’ weight and measurements will be recorded. The last day of the challenge will be July 1st, 2021 and participants will need to schedule a time to do their final weigh in on or before that day.
